What is the highest level on Reading Plus? ›

The content library spans lower-first-grade (Level Pre-A), through 12th-grade (Level L) and college level (Level M). Every student starts reading on the level that is just right for him or her, based on his or her instructional goals, and moves to increasingly challenging content as goals are met.

Reading Plus is a great tool for helping children with their comprehension skills; improving their reading skills and tracking progress including areas for development.

“Hi” content levels contain high-interest, low-readability selections and are available to students in grades six and higher who are working on content levels A through E.

Is level b good in iready? ›

Level B is a Grade Level ranking that appears in some i-Ready Reading and Math lessons. i-Ready Wiki gives this level a low-leveled lessons. Most of the time Plory and Yoop appear, but other lessons have Pepper Jackie, Sweet T, etc.

The average 4th grader will have a Lexile score of 445L to 810L. However, this is true for around 50% of students, with around 25% being below the average, while the other 25% are likely to be above the average. The same study showcased that students can be up to 250L above or below the average.

In the fall, second graders typically independently read at a Level 18. By the end of second grade, a typical second grader will independently read at Level 28.

Typically children reading books that are labeled level K are reading many illustrated chapter books. Texts, at this level, contain characters that change very little even though the texts are more complex. Children are able to read silently when independently reading.

A Frequent reader, age 6-11, reads about 44 books per year, while an Infrequent reader reads only around 22. And that difference increases substantially as kids get older. Infrequent readers, age 12-17, only read 4.7 books a year.
